I am introducing a Lifestyle blog for leaders where we will explore ways to recharge ourselves and be better equipped for more chaos.
I envision this being a two-way process where I will share what I do however, I am incredibly curious to hear what you do as well. That way, we can all help each other.
The first topic I wanted to talk about was Sunday’s – A day where in a big part of the world, it is a day of rest. For other places it might be Saturday or Friday. Which ever it is for you, just interchange my thoughts about Sunday’s.
I blessed to live in Europe for five years – specifically Romania. It was there that I learned my current Sunday habit thanks to my Romanian colleagues. For me, Sunday is now a day for family and friends. It is not the day where I run around town all day picking up supplies for the house, shopping, painting, gardening, etc. It is all about spending a leisurely morning making a great breakfast (Which is closer to lunch by the time we make it) and talking. The afternoon might include a walk together. The evening usually involves a dinner with friends at our house or theirs. I resist technology. The TV set stays off. No stress. No fuss. Just “flow.”
I have discovered that this little day of “Flow” resets me for Monday and sharpens me to go back at it hard.
What do you do? I want to hear from you. Who knows, you might get me to change my recharge routine. At the very least, you will help countless others with your idea.
